May 20, 2011 was a day filled with the Spirit of God and some 20 plus halau’s danced their hula presentations to God. Halau’a from across the world joined in this beautiful event. Saddleback Church who is the creator of this event brought the event to Honolulu, Hawaii this year 2011 and blessed New Hope Manoa with the task of being the host of this event.

The event took place in the Stan Sheriff Center on the ground of the University of Hawaii Campus. A large group of people sat and watched this event and loved every minute of the program. If you attended this event we are sure you were blessed like we were.

We want to thank the team of photographers who shared their photos with the New Hope Manoa Photo Ministry. Special thanks go to Ernie, Tish, Noel, and Cindy for taking so many photos and sharing them with us.

Right now we have just one halau which is “Na Keiki O Ke Akua” uploaded to the site. We will be adding more as time permits. Please be patient with us as there were lots of photos taken and we are still going over them. Halau of New Hope and Saddleback Church will hopefully be uploaded to Shutterfly tonight.

Congratulations Joe and Missy

Congratulations to Joe and Missy on their marriage on Sept. 5, 2010. The Photo Ministry of New Hope Manoa were honored to take your photos. On behalf of the NHM Photo Ministry we wish you the greatest and richest blessings that God can give you.

You can view the shots taken of the wedding in our photo gallery area or you can go to the direct page of Joe and Missy’s photos. Just beware that there are lot of photos what are in this gallery (148 photos). You may order prints of the wedding at AFTH Photography are greatly reduced prices. Below are some of the other photos taken of the event. We hope that you will enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed taking the photos. We will be creating a slideshow video and a photo album for the happy couple. BTW thanks much thanks to the photographers of the wedding Will Kapahu, who stood in for me, Ernie Lau and Cindy Aona. You all did a fantastic job capturing the day and creating long lasting memories.

Fireworks are going off

Makapuu Lookout

On Sept. 5, 2010 the NHManoa Photo Ministry has been asked to help photograph a wedding of a young couple at the church. The wedding will take place at the conclusion of the church service and will continue into the wedding ceremony. Ernie, Cindy and I will be taking the photos of the wedding ceremony and Ernie and I will be taking photos of the couple after the wedding ceremony.

We had a fun Saturday morning at the Makapuu Lookout on the 21st. Even though the group was small we had fun taking photos. The day started off with a cloudy sky which which God graced us. Later in the morning God opened the skies some for us and we saw some blue skies as well.

We then had some fun and a great Dim Sum lunch at Harbor Village in Koko Marina. Thanks Debra for paying for the lunch. Like typical photographers we sat eating and sharing our photos on our iPhones and iTouch devices. Boy technology has changed some but photographers are still the same.

Sorry for those of you who couldn’t make the shoot and maybe you will be able to join us in our next outing. I am planning a outing to go and see the Blue Angels in September.

We are in the process of moving our site to our new home. Please come back in a couple of weeks when we should have everything transferred over.
